​What age can my child start dancing?

 

Dance Starz Academy welcomes all students, male and female, ages 18 months through 18 years old! We welcome dancers at all different stages of their dance journey, from beginners to more experienced dancers. Please contact us to learn which classes are best suited to your child’s age and experience level.

 

Does my child need previous dance experience?

 

Not at all! We offer opportunities for dancers to develop their skills, build confidence, and discover their love of dance. Our goal is to help every dancer grow at their own pace in a positive and encouraging environment.

 

Can my child try a class before registering?

 

YES! Please contact us to ask about trial classes and current availability.

 

How do I know which class is right for my child?

 

Class placement depends on factors such as age, experience, skill level, and individual readiness. Our staff can help guide you toward the best fit for your dancer.

What styles of dance do you offer?

 

Dance Starz Academy offers ballet, acro/tumbling, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary and more!​

 

What is the difference between recreational dance and the competition team?

 

Recreational classes focus on learning, personal growth, and enjoying dance without the full commitment of competitive training. Our competition team offers a more intensive experience, with additional training, rehearsals, and opportunities to perform and compete.

Can my child take more than one dance style?

 

Absolutely! Taking multiple styles can help dancers develop well-rounded technique, strength, flexibility, musicality, and versatility. Contact us to build a schedule that works for your dancer.

When is tuition due?

 

Monthly tuition is due on the first of each month.

 

How do I pay tuition?

 

A valid card must be kept on file, and tuition is processed through automatic payments. We do not accept Cash App or personal checks for tuition payments.

 

Are there additional fees throughout the season?

 

Additional expenses may apply depending on your dancer’s program and participation. These may include costumes, performances, competitions, conventions, and other program-related fees. Families will receive information about applicable fees and payment deadlines.

What happens if my child misses a class?

 

Please notify the studio if your dancer will be absent. Makeup class availability should be confirmed with the studio.

 

What if my child is running late or needs to leave early?

 

Please communicate any anticipated lateness or early departure with the studio. Arriving on time and participating in the full class helps dancers get the most out of their training.

Are there performance opportunities for all students?

Yes!  Dance Starz Academy offers all of our students TWO performance opportunities, one in our Winter Recital and another in our June Recital!  We utilize the same costumes for both recitals to help families save on cost and we accept registration for new students all through the season! 

 

Can I host my child's birthday party at Dance Starz Academy?
